Jeep® brand takes home the most wins in 10th annual “Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year” awards

If you’re new-car shopping in Nampa, the 2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee just got a little more appealing.

The most awarded SUV ever has just earned some new accolades at the 10th annual “Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year” (ALV) awards competition on Oct. 19 in Chandler, Ariz. Coming out of the event, the all-new 2014 Jeep® Cherokee and 2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee added three more awards to the automaker’s collection!

    • 2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel won in the “Green” category
    • 2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee wins “Luxury Off-Road” category
    • 2014 Jeep® Cherokee named “Best Value On-Road”

These three wins made the Jeep brand the auto entrant with the most wins at the event. Judging new vehicles across 10 award categories were more than 100 athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who participate in sports such as kayaking, soccer, biking and running. These judges welcomed a small group of automotive journalists to join them on ride-and-drive tests, including both on-road driving and a difficult off-road course.

The ALV awards were co-founded by Ironman Hall of Fame inductee Bob Babbit; triathlete, journalist and founder of Jim Woodman; as well as auto journalist and distance runner Nina Russin.

For Peterson Stampede Dodge Chrysler Jeep® RAM, these awards validate and encourage our approach to working with Jeep® inventory. By nature, models like these are designed to supplement and support an active lifestyle, and that’s why we are so pleased to see the brand earn these awards from judges who know just how important a vehicle can be in maintaining such a lifestyle.
