It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark. Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart…this is Thriller. Who could ever forget the chilling words that Vincent Price uttered at the end of this iconic song: Darkness falls across the land…the midnight hour is close at hand…you know the rest.
This October 29th 2011, Peterson Stampede Dodge Chrysler Jeep and Mopar Unlimted of Idaho classic car club will host our first annual Trunk or Treat and canned food drive. Adults can cruise “Spook Alley” and admire the classic cars of their past while the little goblins collect treats from the trunks of some of the coolest cars in Idaho.
Entrance into “Spook Alley” will be granted by donating a canned food item (or items) that will support the Oasis Food Bank for the
upcoming holiday season. The Oasis Food Center serves lunch every Wednesday between noon and 2 pm and gives out food boxes to those who need a helping hand. The organization also runs a weekend feeding program in coordination with Caldwell School District. Royce and Carol Wright are the senior pastors at the Oasis Worship Center and are very involved in the community. Dr. Royce is the chairman of the board of the Canyon County Hunger Coalition and also serves as the chaplain for the Caldwell Police Department. So far this year over 6,864 families have been helped and the charity has served over 4,000 hot meals to date. Let’s support our community and help fill those shelves with our donations.
We guarantee a ghoulishly good time for all. Once you have been granted entry into “Spook Alley” your journey will begin by passing through Esmeralda’s Gypsy camp. Yes, this wayward Gypsy has set-up camp here at Peterson Stampede Dodge. Take a peek inside her tent, fully equipped with chandelier and crystal ball. As your journey resumes, you will find yourself entering the Haunted Graveyard where a vintage 1800’s carriage is awaiting its next passenger.
Once you have safely maneuvered through “Spook Alley” you can sip on some ghoulishly warm Apple Cider while you cast your vote for the best decorated trunk. Don’t forget to wear your costumes (optional) and bring your empty treat bags! This event will prove to be a real “thriller” for everyone willing to enter “Spook Alley”. See you there!
Mark your calendars: October 29th 2011 from 3:00 to 6:00.
