This coveted award will be presented to FCA US LLC representatives at the 13th Annual Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala, which is part of the Manufacturing Leadership Summit scheduled to begin on June 12, 2017 in Huntington Beach, CA.
FCA US LLC earned a Manufacturing Leadership Award in the Operational Excellence Leadership category. The company earned the award for embracing and implementing World Class Manufacturing, or WCM, in its global operations. This manufacturing philosophy focuses on the following:
- Eliminating Waste
- Increasing Productivity
- Improving Quality
- Improving Safety
The goal of WCM is to engage employees to provide ideas about how their jobs and workplaces can be improved and involve them in implementing their suggestions. In recent years, WCM has become the motivation for significant changes in production facilities throughout the world. To date, four FCA US LLC plants in North America have achieved silver status and 16 others have earned bronze status in the WCM program.
