As its name implies, the 2012 Journey is a highly flexible, ready-for-anything kind of crossover. Of course, a single sentence barely scratches the surface of how eminently versatile the Journey really is, but it’s a crossover designed from the ground up to satisfy your needs: For adventure, for comfort, for affordability, for, well, whatever. Ranging from America’s most affordable seven-passenger SUV, the entry model AVP, to the stylish and high-performance R/T, the latest Journey is like the family dog: Loyal, lovable and up for anything.
Dodge engineers designed the Journey to be driven far beyond the grocery store, so it’s surprisingly capable when it comes to hauling and towing. Standard with Trailer Sway Damping, anti-lock brakes with brake assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Electronic Roll Mitigation, and equipped with the available Trailer Tow Prep Group, (which integrates a four-pin connecting wiring harness), the V6 Journey can tow up to 2,500 pounds.
